Name: Obi-Wan Kenobi Door: Door Pass- Dominant Canon: Star Wars Canon Point: Mid-Revenge of the Sith after defeating General Grievous during the Battle of Utapau. Age: 38 Appearance: here History:Wiki here CR AU (Optional): n/a Personality: Positive Trait: Thoughtful: Obi-Wan is an incredibly thoughtful person and seldom acts without thought, he is not prone to act rashly. This is both due to his being a Jedi, but also simply an aspect of who he is. There's a reason that he was derisively called 'The Negotiator' by General Grievous, as it was something that he was known for throughout the galaxy: as someone who attempted to resolve issues through discussion and thought first before resorting to violence. He was skilled at it, too, often able to defuse situations in such a way. He was an anthesis to his former Padawan Anakin in this way, who was always far quicker to react and had the potential to act rashly because of it. Obi-Wan's reservedness could sometimes annoy Anakin because of that antithesis of their personalities. Negative Trait: Rigid: Obi-Wan is deeply loyal and duty bound to the Jedi Code and the Order, often putting institutional dogma above being flexible. This rigidity blinds him to the flaws of the Order, and he fails to see or refuses to see the problems before they are crumbling down. He resists questioning the system even when it shows signs of failure, like the Clone Wars. Jedi were never meant to be soldiers, but peacekeepers. And they were exerting far more power than they ever should have. It also means that he fails to provide Anakin effective support when he needed it, Anakin needed more flexibility and understanding than Obi-Wan had been able to provide him. Not that Obi-Wan knows it yet, but if he'd provided that support, Anakin might not have fallen to the Dark Side. Negative Trait: Arrogance: He presents himself as calm and composed, but that control can sometimes instead morph into an arrogance. He believes that he knows best, especially when following Jedi ideals, and can be dismissive of other ideas that run contrary to what he believes. This can be seen when he sometimes talks down to Anakin (fostering resentment). His faith in his own mental clarity, makes it harder for him to adapt or accept that perhaps he might not know everything. This arrogance also shows in his banter with foes, talking to them with a cheeky sarcasm that while sometimes funny, is partly due to his arrogance that he knows better than they do. Negative Trait: Conflict Avoidance: While Obi-Wan is hardly conflict avoidant with enemies, he finds it much more difficult addressing issues when it might challenge the Order. He often chooses to endure and obey rather than challenge authority, especially the Jedi Council. Even when he sees flaws in their decisions (ex: making Anakin spy on Palpatine) he rarely pushes back. He's complied with decisions that hurt both Anakin and also Ashoka, who he didn't defend nearly enough when the Order had been ready to remove her from the Order and let her be convicted of a crime it was later determined she didn't commit. Despite having her conviction overturned, that betrayal of the Order and Obi-Wan as well is part of the reason she didn't return. And it is yet another reason that Anakin's resentment to Obi-Wan and the Order grew larger. Powers and Abilities: Obi-Wan is a Jedi, and with that has many abilities that are almost wizard-like and hard to quantify in their entirety but as a Force user some things that he can do are: move objects with his mind, influence others with weak minds (animals included), extrasensory perception, read thoughts by those unable to prevent him from doing so, move with extreme speed and jump higher than humanly possible, heal others/himself, experience prophetic dreams, and he is also a master lightsaber duelist.
