Padmé. As well as I can be is a good way to phrase it. I have mostly settled in, and I am adjusting to my new reality.

One may hope that it is only for a short time then. Some do seem to come for a few months only and disappear. Others... Well, we might be here for quite some time, but it's always a possibility.

You learn to fall into a rhythm. I'd say your arrival, and now Bail's, are about as positively exciting as things have gotten for me recently.

I would hate to leave you behind, regardless of how I am doing. So I have no desire to leave if you'll remain.

Especially if you find my presence so exciting!

[There is a bitter sweetness to that, for it is a kind sentiment, although he does not know what will await her back home, or him. Especially him. Her fight may be over, but she knows that his isn't.

But there is a light laugh, and stars, despite this place, it is nice to see him again.]

I find your presence welcome and quite missed, but if given the choice, I wouldn't have any familiar faces trapped here. It can be trying and humbling, even embarrassing. Liberating sometimes... Joyous and sad. But one's life does still remain back home, all but frozen in that moment of time until you return.

I understand the sentiment. [He doesn't want anyone he knows here, either. It's a difficult and strange position, having Padmé trying to protect him, though.]

It is good to know that the galaxy is not continuing in our absence. [That would make this even more troubling still.]

I have already experienced a number of the city's attempts to embarrass and humble me, but I believe I can handle whatever it does to test me.

I've always approached it as, no matter what the city may toss our way or what we may do, so long as we remain true to who we are deep within, that is what counts.

Have I ever told you how wise you are? I couldn't have worded it better myself.

I had wonderful role models in my life. Yes, that includes you.

And, premise this with my feelings shall not be hurt if your mind has changed since the offer was initially made, but if the offer of a contract does still stand.

I do, and would appreciate it. Even after all this time, I do prefer having someone I trust and respect. A connection, if you would, founded in friendship.

It is vital for the types of contracts they wish us to sign here. As friends, there's no better way to look out for one another here.

Do you want to move in with me? Or did you wish for different arrangements?
My apartment in the Up is simple. But you are welcome to do whatever you like with your own space and the shared living space, if anything.

It does ease. I'd been contracted to Bail for a while when he was here and as a Dominant, but Drake I'd been contracted to longer. I met him when he arrived, although he remained here after I had left. There was just an ease there that made things simpler, especially with the trials that they can put us through.

I should warn you that I do have two tooka and a tendency to bake, a lot. Plenty of free time was driving me a little stir crazy. I am passable at knitting. Quite decent at sewing. Quite poor at painting. Baking though seemed to fit just right.

Why do you need to warn me? That only sounds like a boon rather than something that requires a warning. What do you bake?

In case you prefer not to reside with creatures who do presume that you are more or less there to serve them.

The food may be less of a hindrance and more of a blessing.

Cookies, cakes, pies, breads, buns, muffins.

Well, I do not think you are there to serve me.
Although, I do think you might make me fat.

Then you shall have to join me on my daily walks.

I am not, no.
And I only rarely act like a menace and tear around the apartment at night while others are trying to sleep.

I'd be happy to join you and your tooka.

I'll get the paperwork for the contract together, and we can go get it signed.
If there's anything specific you'd like me to include, do let me know.

And you are welcome whenever you'd like to join. Unless there is too much snow, it tends to be a daily thing.

Aside from the ability to continue to be employed, I cannot say that there is anything else that I generally need within it.
